Friendship Flower Card

I made this card for the weekly challenge on Caardvark, this week's theme is friendship. This is my first challenge for this site so we'll see how it goes, there are a ton of good cards on there! I think things like this are a good way to get people motivated to make cards, but not just regular cards... Cards that you spend effort on and that have more 'love' in them then your standard 20 minute card. I think this site is cool and I'm going to try and keep entering the challenges.

Continuing with the Spring theme...

I made this card today, the sun if finally shining here in Alaska and this card of fits my springy mood. Sewing on paper is too fun. Usually I'm too lazy to get my sewing machine out but I had nothing better to do today so I went all the way. Hope you all are enjoying your Sunday, Anali

Clipidy-Do-Da Magnets

I have been mulling around with the idea for these magnets for a while and this afternoon they finally materialized! I have had a bag of mini clothes pins for a lonnggg time, they've been patiently waiting for me to try them out. These are pretty simple, now that I know they work I think I will make something much more elaborate... but they still look way cute on my fridge and I think they would make excellent presents.

Bendy Straws, Lollypops & A Flower Pot

I got this idea while walking around the thrift store this weekend and I tried it out last night. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I absolutely love it! I'm not usually a cute-sy crafter but the mini flower pot just screamed cute. Well anyway, I remembered to take pictures of the process so people could duplicate it. During some of the steps I thought of some better materials to use but i wanted to make it 'right now' and I used what I had in my apartment.
First I pasted strips of paper on the pot, then I tied to ribbons around it. I then filled it with stuffing (I didn't want to buy any of that fancy green foam stuff). Next I filled the pot with lollypops so the flowers would stay up.

Next I made two flowers and attached them.

Here's how I attached them.

Then I made some leaves and attached them like this. I would recommend attaching them after the flower, the placement is easier (I ripped the first 2 of mine off). Well that's it, too cute, I want to make another one! :)

Altered Clipboard

I saw this clipboard at a thrift store for 50 cents and thought 'huh, I might be able to make something out of that'. So here's what it turned into. I didn't really have a plan for the board, i just started gluing paper down. If I had been thinking I would have taken photos through the process, oh well, next time. This was pretty fun, I think I'll try another one sometime.

This is the new Penguin Pants stamp set : Our Feathered Friends. First time I've used it, hooray!

Starting an Art Blog

I have decided to start a separate arts and crafts blog and keep the A & P Ventures blog for activities. I'm excited to start creating new art/posting it! Have a good one, Anali
